Our Story

Hi! For those of you who are new, I’m Carmen Sansone, the founder of Find-A-Sitter. I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, went to St. Joseph’s Academy for high school, and graduated from Miami University with a degree in finance. I started Find-A-Sitter the summer before my senior year of college, and today I’m based in Nashville.

I am one of ten kids with fifty or so first cousins and an adorable niece and nephew, Adriana and Jimmy. For as long as I can remember, my aunts and cousins have asked me to find them sitters. Time after time they would come back, and my brother always encouraged me to do it full-time. In July 2021, I figured, “let’s do it!”

Every sitter goes through an application, interview, background check and drug test, and is CPR certified. Today we have 650+ amazing sitters across St. Louis, Columbia, Nashville and Oxford, and we’re always looking to grow!

Before bringing on a sitter, I ask myself, “Would I allow this person to babysit Adriana and Jimmy?”

Maria was a dream. I was in a last minute bind and needed help with my nine week old daughter.
