Find-A-Sitter connects families with safe, reliable, and qualified caregivers. Every sitter on our platform completes a thorough interview, is CPR/First Aid certified, undergoes background checks and drug testing, and is selected to provide the highest standard of care for your children.
Find-A-Sitter is your trusted babysitting friend. We prioritize real relationships and reliable caregivers, bringing a sense of normalcy and comfort to childcare so parents can book with confidence. Unlike generic care marketplaces, our focus is quality, trust, and genuine connections between families and sitters.
We offer:
• Babysitting for evenings, weekends, and one-time needs
• Nannying for seasonal care (summer)
• House-sitting to care for your home while you’re away
• Pet-sitting so your animals are cared for with attention and love
• Cleaning services for your convenience
Most sitters are students who work evenings, weekends, and during seasonal breaks. You can specify your care needs when booking.
Each caregiver undergoes a multi-step process including:
• Professional interview
• CPR/First Aid certification verification
• Background check
• Drug test
This ensures your sitter is dependable, trained, and capable of providing safe, nurturing care!
We currently serve families in St. Louis, Missouri; Columbia, Missouri; Oxford, Mississippi; and Nashville, Tennessee.  
Fill out your family profile completely — sitters look for clear details before accepting jobs. Also, booking early (especially for weekends) increases the chance that a sitter will accept your request.  
Our matching system uses tags you select during registration that reflect your care priorities. Sitters also choose tags that reflect their strengths — when tags align, you will be matched with that sitter!
If a sitter cancels, we’ll work to find another qualified sitter for your booking.
Once your profile is complete and your credit card is securely stored, payments are processed after the sitter clocks out — no cash exchange required.
A quarterly membership fee of only $25 gives you access to the Find-A-Sitter platform and booking features!
Yes — all sitters provide references from prior childcare or related experience.
Many sitters have experience with a wide range of child care needs. If your child has specific requirements, include that in your tags so we can match you with the best caregiver.
Booking within 24 hours will incur a rush fee (see Rates page), but we’ll do our best to find sitters who are available!
